Happy New Year, Brothers!
On behalf of the undergraduate chapter and AVC, I am thrilled to announce that we’ve just surpassed our $5,000 fundraising goal for 2023! I’m humbled and grateful for everyone’s support as we undertook our first organized fundraising effort in years. As a result of your generosity, SigEp at UConn is on track for another bright, productive, and fun-filled year.
As the chapter wraps up another successful semester, I’m awestruck by all we’ve accomplished in 2023. From hosting our career night back in February, to switching alumni newsletter platforms, to being awarded another Buchanan Cup in San Antonio, to restoring the Ville’s cherished couch, I am full of pride over Connecticut Alpha’s work over the past twelve months.
I hope the holidays brought you joy, renewal, and opportunities to connect with loved ones. I encourage you to take the time to reach out to your brothers this coming year and wish them well. Our brotherhood is a gift that keeps on giving.
As we kick off a new year, I want to reiterate my gratitude for all of you. Whether you graduated from UConn 60 years ago or just joined this past semester, we’re grateful you are part of our Connecticut Alpha family. I am looking forward to what 2024 has in store for us (including our biennial reunion in September)!
Happy New Year and H. F. F.,
Van Augur, ‘20
Alumni & Volunteer President
