On Tuesday, March 28, 2023, approximately 25 CT Alpha undergraduate brothers gathered to hear career and life advice from 13 alumni. This hybrid in-person/on-line event kicked off our “SigEp for Life” program, conceived to inspire all brothers to find their purpose and live a more fulfilled life.
The event was organized around four industry panels: (1) business, finance, and accounting, (2) medical, health care, and allied services, (3) law, political science, and government, and (4) engineering, computer science, and technology.
Each participating alumnus presented a high-level overview of his career, what he most enjoys about it, and critical life-lessons learned along the way. Alumni also took questions from the audience, and undergraduates were encouraged to follow up via LinkedIn or email.
Kellen Paparella ‘25, CT Alpha’s current chapter president, opened the discussion with an overview of the program. He explained that this event was inspired by feedback he received from fellow undergraduate brothers seeking career advice. Kellen stated, “The undergraduates spoke, and the alumni listened.” “We are grateful that so many alumni are taking an interest in our Chapter, and we look forward to additional programs in the future,” he added.
Van Augur (‘20), CT Alpha’s AVC president, also welcomed the attendees. “The AVC is pleased to offer programming that supports engagement between our CT Alpha alumni and undergraduates,” Augur stated. He also gave thanks to the participating alumni and event organizers noted below.
