The SigEp Patriots Project (SPP) once again honored military service members and SigEp brothers with a special, two-part wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery on Saturday, November 1, 2025. This event is held annually to honor and remember our SigEp military brothers while simultaneously celebrating the founding of SigEp on this date in 1901.
The first wreath was placed at the base of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Arlington National Cemetery’s most iconic memorial. The second wreath was presented at the gravesite of the first SigEp Patriot known to be presented the Medal of Honor – World War II Veteran & District of Columbia Alpha Brother Colonel Justice Chambers, U.S. Marine Corps (Retired). November 1 is also the anniversary of Brother Chambers being awarded the Medal of Honor.

Event organizer Ed Jones, Buffalo State ‘97, founder of the SPP, reflected, “This was a time to honor our heritage, our service, and our values as SigEp Patriots — virtue, diligence, and brotherly love in action.”
Andy Kelly, Arkansas ‘00, CT Alpha’s Chapter Counselor, also participated in this moving ceremony. He stated, “It was such a unique opportunity to honor military service in conjunction with our Fraternity’s founding. Meeting the other brothers with whom I share both military and fraternal bonds was definitely a highlight.”
